promise of the path

This painting captures the moment when I was still hopeful, standing at the top of a beautiful path leading to the beach. What followed was a steep, bumpy road downhill on my bike, which turned out not worth the effort. But here, in this image, I stay in this beautiful moment before the difficult journey began.
